What is a session with you like?
Each session is different because each of my couples are different as well! I don’t have a one size fits all approach to photographing couples and tailor your session to you as a couple. With that being said, there are a couple of things you can always expect from a session with me, which you can read about here.
What do we wear for our shoot?
Don’t worry, I have an entire guide chocked full with tips on what to wear which I’ll send over to you after booking! I’ve gotchu!
What if the weather is bad on the day of our wedding or shoot?
I’ve spent years gaining experience photographing in a wide range of conditions, so don’t worry if it’s overcast, rainy, or the sun is come and go. As long as the conditions aren’t unsafe or miserable to be in (or has the potential to ruin my gear) I encourage my couples to just embrace the weather God gives us! Wind and even a little bit of rain not only adds character and emotion to images but it can also make for a really fun time! The weather in North Idaho is unpredictable at best, so rolling with what the day brings is part of the adventure!
How long will it take to receive our images?
You’ll receive sneak peeks in 24 -72 hours after the shoot. For the rest of your gallery, my turn around time is typically 2-4 weeks for couples sessions and 4-6 weeks for weddings (depending on the length of coverage chosen and how busy I am at that time of the year)
How many images will we receive?
I don’t believe in setting a cap on how many images you will receive in your finished gallery. You get all of the best images from our time together and I promise you’ll have plenty!
Will you Photoshop us?
Nope. So much of the heart behind my brand is to capture couples authentically which is why I don’t alter anything beyond some discretionary (minimal) teeth whitening and removing temporary blemishes which wouldn’t normally be there such as acne, bruises, etc. (which I can also leave in if you want). If there is something which you are especially self conscious of please don’t hesitate to mention it and I will keep it in mind while shooting because I totally get it! (I like the left side of my face better in photographs than the right)
Do you give out RAW (unedited) images?
No I don’t. Editing is an integral part of my art and I’ve worked hard to develop an editing style which authentically reflects nature, displays lovely skin tones, and captures the essence of what moments looked and felt like.
How does payment work?
I require a non-refundable retainer at the time of booking and the remainder is due a week before the shoot or wedding date.
What if we cancel or reschedule our shoot or wedding?
If you’ve already paid the retainer to reserve a date, it is legally non-refundable and a new retainer will have to be paid in order to secure a new date if you so desire.
